Boulos meets entities to discuss the regulation of medicinal cannabis

The Minister of the General Secretariat of the Government, Guilherme Boulos, meets representatives from the cannabis sector this Tuesday (06) to discuss the regulation of the plant in national territory. The meeting takes place at 11am, at the Planalto Palace, and focuses on policies for the medicinal use of the plant.
The discussion on cannabis regulation will involve the presence of various social actors, including associative leaders and university researchers. Members of the Greater ABC Economic Development Agency, the ABC Metalworkers Union, and the Landless Workers' Movement (MST) are also participating.
Deputy Eduardo Suplicy, who confirmed his presence at the meeting, emphasized the importance of advancing in the regulation of cannabis for therapeutic purposes. According to the parliamentarian, the meeting aims to validate the fundamental role that patient associations play in the national scenario.
On his social media, Suplicy stated that the goal is to "open up possibilities for medicinal cannabis associations to be recognized by the Government". The agenda seeks to implement the regulation of cannabis regarding cultivation and access, facilitating treatment with a "cost suitable for the Brazilian people".
