Researchers can now register for the submission of scientific papers at the Brazilian Medicinal Cannabis Congress 2026.
The Brazilian Medicinal Cannabis Congress (CBCM) has opened the period for submission of scientific papers for its 2026 edition, inviting researchers, healthcare professionals, educators, and students to present studies at the main scientific event dedicated to medicinal cannabis and industrial hemp in Brazil.
The CBCM 2026 will be held from May 21 to 23, at the Transamerica Expo Center, Santo Amaro, in São Paulo (SP), bringing together national and international experts to discuss scientific advances, innovation, regulation, and therapeutic applications of cannabis.
Submission covers different areas of knowledge
The scientific call encompasses research related to Cannabis sativa in multiple areas, such as health sciences, biological sciences, agronomy, technology, innovation, public policies, and social and economic impacts. The aim is to stimulate a multidisciplinary approach, aligned with the expansion of the sector in Brazil and worldwide.
Papers can be submitted in the modalities of oral presentation, with presentations in thematic sessions, and poster, a format focused on the visual display of results and methodologies.
Rules for submitting papers
According to the event's regulations, to submit a paper it is mandatory that at least one of the authors is registered in the in-person modality of the congress at the time of submission. Each lead author can submit up to two papers, with no limit for participation as a co-author.
The abstracts must be original and unpublished, presented in Portuguese and English, and strictly follow the technical and formatting standards established by the CBCM organization.
Evaluation and scientific publication
The submitted papers will undergo evaluation by the scientific committee, which will consider criteria such as the relevance of the topic, methodology, clarity of results, and contribution to the advancement of scientific knowledge.
