Established as the main medical cannabis fair in Brazil and the largest industry gathering in Latin America, the Medical Cannabis Fair concluded its 4th edition with a record attendance and an important announcement: starting in 2026, the event will be known as Cannabis Fair. The name change reflects the market's maturation and the broadening scope of the fair, now representing the entire cannabis chain, from health and scientific research to cultivation, agribusiness, technology, and industrial hemp applications.

From May 22 to 24, 2025, the fair brought together 4,671 unique visitors, including doctors, dentists, pharmacists, researchers, entrepreneurs, and government representatives. The majority of the attendees came from the Southeast Region, followed by the South, Northeast, Midwest, and North. The event also welcomed visitors from 14 countries, such as Argentina, Colombia, the United States, Italy, and Portugal — reinforcing the international relevance of the event.

Among the participants, 68.4% work in the healthcare sector and 31.5% in the business sector, confirming the integration of science and market as pillars of the event.

New brand, new moment

With the new name, Cannabis Fair inaugurates an even broader and more representative phase for the sector. The 5th edition already has a confirmed date: May 21, 22, and 23, 2026, at the Transamerica Expo Center in São Paulo — a venue that reflects the event's new dimension and the diversity of solutions it gathers.

The new official website, www.cannabisfair.com.br, is already live with information about the upcoming edition, registrations, exhibitors, and participation opportunities.

Now with an expanded structure, the fair will feature new major exhibition sectors: Cultivation, Extraction and Processing, Packaging, Services, Products, and Distribution Channels. There will be over 80 national and international booths, showcasing innovations ranging from medicine to industrial applications, including logistics, cosmetics, nutrition, technology, and financial services.

“This evolution reflects what is happening in the market itself. Cannabis Fair is born to encompass all fronts of the cannabis chain and create a more comprehensive business and knowledge environment,” highlight the organizers.

Sechat Talks: content and connection with the audience

Among the new features that are becoming established in the program is Sechat Talks, a space for information, knowledge, and interaction aimed at the fair's visiting audience.

Curated by Sechat journalism and the scientific committee of the Brazilian Medicinal Cannabis Congress (CBCM), Sechat Talks brings dynamic presentations on research, innovations, and solutions shaping the sector, with direct audience participation.

The sessions have an accessible format and clear language, bridging science, market, and society. Additionally, all content is live-streamed on Sechat's YouTube channel and available on-demand, expanding the reach and democratization of information about cannabis in Brazil.

“Sechat Talks is a meeting point between knowledge and practice. It reinforces the fair's role as a promoter of qualified dialogue, innovation, and sector development,” explain the event's curators.

A complete ecosystem of knowledge and business

With the new format, Cannabis Fair solidifies itself as a strategic ecosystem of innovation, content, and opportunities. Alongside the scientific congress, the fair fosters integration among health professionals, companies, startups, investors, and public institutions, strengthening partnerships and encouraging the sustainable growth of the cannabis production chain.

More than just a fair, Cannabis Fair represents a new stage in the construction of the Brazilian cannabis market, promoting education, business, and responsible development.
