Dermatologist Flávia Nakamura, a specialist in integrative practices and ozone therapy, detailed the use of the product. Initially aimed at patients with Epidermolysis Bullosa, the formulation stands out for its antimicrobial properties and the potential to accelerate the healing process.
The product was developed in partnership with physician Luciana Bretas. According to Luciana, starting in March 2026, the foam will be available for import. The commercial launch is scheduled to take place initially in Paraguay.
Benefits of CBD foam in healing

The product presentation took place during the lecture "Use of Oral and Topical Cannabidiol for Wound Healing in Rare Skin Disease". The panel was offered by the Paraguayan Industrial Hemp Chamber (CCIP).
According to the data presented, CBD foam was designed to meet specific needs. The main focus is on patients who face difficulties in daily hygiene due to the skin's extreme sensitivity.
According to Nakamura, clinical application in patients associated with an Epidermolysis Bullosa association in São Paulo showed positive results. The group, which serves more than 100 people, observed a significant reduction in inflammations.
"Here, we have been working with patients with epidermolysis bullosa and have seen a very fast healing process. We are very satisfied," said the physician during the event.
Versatility and application of CBD foam
Although the primary focus is on the mentioned rare disease, the dermatologist explained the product's versatility. The properties of CBD in the formulation allow for its use in other severe dermatological conditions.
Possible applications include the treatment of burns and pressure ulcers. Chronic wounds with difficult healing can also benefit from the technology.
The logic behind the CBD foam format aims to facilitate cleaning of the affected area. The goal is to sanitize without causing friction or excessive pain, while delivering the active ingredient.
"Thinking about these patients, to improve, as they cannot take many baths every day, we thought: 'let's make a foam that will help with cleaning and the healing process'," explained Nakamura.
The physician emphasized that this characteristic should expand the clinical use of the product. "It will be very beneficial for pressure ulcers, burns, ulcers, and the entire healing process," she concluded.
