Droga Raia is announcing on its website the first cannabis-based product authorized by Anvisa from the Prati-Donaduzzi laboratory.
The cannabidiol of 200 mg/ml, in 30 ml, is priced at R$ 2,143.30 with the discount applied. The original price would be R$ 2,500. Although the price is already set, there is no purchase option available; only the “Notify me” function can be activated.
The Official Gazette of the Union made public at the end of April the first registration by Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) of a cannabis-based medication. In the midst of the Covid-19 pandemic, the agency took only 45 days to grant commercialization approval. The market was not expecting any medication before the second half of the year.
The commercialization permission granted to the laboratory by Anvisa (National Health Surveillance Agency) for the cannabidiol is not exactly a registration but a sanitary authorization. It is valid for five years and cannot be extended.
