The Health Department of the Federal District (SES-DF) published in the Official Gazette of the Federal District (edition of October 30, 2025) a notice of opening of an electronic bidding process for the purchase of cannabidiol-based medication intended for the public healthcare system.

The bidding process, estimated at approximately R$ 2,324,483.00, aims to acquire oral solution in concentrations of 50 mg/ml and 200 mg/ml, in a bottle with a dosing syringe or dropper, to assist patients with refractory epilepsies: specifically Dravet Syndrome, Lennox-Gastaut Syndrome, and epilepsy associated with Tuberous Sclerosis.

Interested companies can already submit proposals, and the opening will take place on November 11, at 8:30 am, through the compras.gov.br portal.

In the official publication of DODF, the notice is listed among the acts of SES-DF, although the PDF has many pages, the specific mention of the bidding process appears in the summary of Section III (Health Department) of DODF No. 206 of 10/30/2025.
Ensuring treatment continuity

The stated objective by SES-DF is to ensure the regular and uninterrupted supply of this medication within the scope of the Unified Health System (SUS)-DF, ensuring that users who meet scientific criteria for the use of the substance can have access without interruptions.
