Medicinal cannabis will be the central theme on the last day of the 'Pulsar Expo', an innovation and technology event promoted by the Institute of Technological Research (IPT) in São Paulo, between October 27th and 30th. The purpose of the meeting is to connect society, industry, and governments with the future through lectures, laboratory visits, and discussions on Research and Development (R&D).

The Pulsar Expo program is divided into daily thematic axes. The last day (10/30) will be dedicated to discussions on "Bioinnovation, health, and sustainability". On this date, medicinal cannabis takes the spotlight during the lecture "Applications in Health and Challenges in Quality Control", starting at 11am.

The panel will feature two leading experts in the sector, the first being Dr. Pedro Pierro, a neurosurgeon, researcher, and scientific director of Sechat. Alongside him, Margarete Akemi Kishi, Professor at the Mackenzie Presbyterian University and Coordinator of the Cannabis working group of CRF-SP. Both are members of the Scientific Committee of the Brazilian Medicinal Cannabis Congress 2026.
