After six months of the change in Michigan's legislation, which allowed adult use of cannabis, the industry noticed a strong impact on the new milestone reached. Initial data from the Cannabis Regulatory Agency (CRA) observed that the market reacted positively, showing an increase in revenue from the legal sale of the plant in the amount of $165.9 million.

It is the second best sales month in the state's history. In April of this year, marking an upward trajectory, the values reached $167 million. Such a change in population behavior is expected in the sector, as it proves to be a novelty for society as a whole. In other states that have legalized, the trend has been to return to the same previous behavior pattern.

The most sought-after products so far are the flowers, representing $81.4 million out of $165.9 million in the month of June. Launched a month apart, Michigan's recreational market now consistently surpasses that of Illinois by about $30 million per month.
