The saxophonist and flutist BIO, one of the most promising names of the new generation of Brazilian instrumental music, releases on World Science Day (November 24) the music video “Que Floresça”, a work that goes beyond the boundaries of music to become an audiovisual manifesto about the balance between body, nature, and consciousness.
The track, originally released in March 2025 by the label Lyra Noise/YBmusic, now gains a video version that reflects, in a sensitive and symbolic way, the poetic and personal universe of the artist — known for his work in the Nomade Orquestra and the collective Samuca e a Selva.
More than an aesthetic production, “Que Floresça” is an awareness-raising act. BIO uses his art to draw attention to the inequality of access to Medicinal Cannabis in Brazil, where high costs, lack of information, and prejudice still hinder the therapeutic use of the plant.
After obtaining a habeas corpus that guarantees him the right to cultivate Cannabis for personal use, the musician decided to turn his experience into artistic expression.
“I wanted to turn my experience into poetry and sharing. To show that there is a natural, possible, and dignified path for those seeking quality of life and autonomy over their own body. ‘Que Floresça’ is about that: about allowing life to flourish with freedom, respect, and knowledge,” says BIO.
The music video, available on major video platforms starting on November 24, was produced in partnership with the directors and cinematographers João Gabriel Hidalgo and Daniel Lupo, and had the screenwriter and artistic director Cris Rangel in the conception and production.
