The city of Jundiaí, in the interior of São Paulo, will host the 3rd edition of the event "Cãonabis is Medicinal", a free and open to the public meeting with the aim of informing and demystifying the use of cannabis and other integrative therapies in the treatment of pets. The event is scheduled for Sunday, November 23rd, at JUMPARK JUNDIAÍ, from 2pm to 6pm.
Focused on animal health and well-being, the event "Cãonabis is Medicinal" is an initiative of the Índica association. In addition to discussions and information about cannabinoid therapy, the program includes attractions such as a pet Flash Tattoo, live podcast recording, animal adoption fair, raffles, and the presence of partner stores in the pet and cannabis segments. Samples and giveaways will be distributed to participants, who are encouraged to bring their own pets, as the venue is a pet-friendly space.
The event aims to raise awareness among pet owners and professionals about the importance of cannabis treatment, which has shown efficacy in various conditions such as osteoarthritis, epilepsy, and canine inflammations, as recent studies in the field have pointed out.

Adrielly Toledo, veterinarian and event organizer, highlights the transformative potential of the treatment and the importance of breaking prejudice. "Medicinal Cannabis is a very versatile and revolutionary therapy. When I first came across this alternative treatment, I was also scared. But soon I realized how important and full of inspiring stories this treatment was," says the veterinarian.
Toledo shares that her own experience motivated her. "At first, I treated my own dog with cannabis, and I saw firsthand the seizures being controlled, which allowed me to change my reality, and especially her quality of life," she explains.
The veterinarian, who now treats patients throughout Brazil, states that the main goal of the event is to ensure that other pet owners have knowledge and access to this therapy that can change lives and stories, reinforcing that medicine is constantly evolving and it is essential to be open to new knowledge.
