After three years of research, cannabidiol in tablets (CBD) is starting to be commercialized in Brazilian pharmacies. The pharmaceutical company Prati-Donaduzzi transforms a naturally oily product into a solid and water-soluble formulation.
The tablet, approximately the size of a grain of rice, is available in a 20 mg dose. It has a central groove, allowing it to be divided into 10 mg doses.
Prati-Donaduzzi is already planning to expand the line. The goal is to offer more and more alternatives for cannabidiol-based therapies.
According to the company, the new tablet brings practicality in storage, transportation, and administration. Additionally, it facilitates swallowing, especially in patients with physical restrictions or sensitivity to the taste of oil.
The cannabidiol tablets from Prati-Donaduzzi have started to be distributed in Brazilian pharmacies. Soon, they can be acquired by medical prescription.
