The State Health Committee of the Court of Justice of Ceará (TJCE) will host, on November 28, at 2:00 pm, a new edition of the project 'Dialogues on Health'. The central theme of the virtual meeting will be the judicialization of the right to health through cannabis. The broadcast will take place live on the official TJCE channel on YouTube.
The main lecture will be given by Eduardo Calasans Rodrigues, institutional integration coordinator of the Supervision Directorate of the National Agency of Supplementary Health (ANS). The invitation to the specialist aims to deepen the technical understanding of the judicialization of the right to health through cannabis.
Academic context and the use of cannabis
The debate proposed by TJCE adds to other recent initiatives in the state, such as the event held by the State University of Ceará (Uece) in July 2025. On that occasion, the III Seminar on the use of Cannabidiol in ASD addressed therapeutic innovations, expanding the discussion on medicinal cannabis.
That meeting focused on disseminating scientific information about the use of Cannabidiol (CBD) in Autism Spectrum Disorder. The goal of both events is to strengthen the dialogue between institutions and society, combating misinformation about the judicialization of the right to health through cannabis and its therapeutic uses.
