Meet 420 Pleasure, the Cannabis Intimate Oil Made in Argentina
Cannabis-based products aimed at sexuality are gaining traction worldwide. The latest launch took place in the land of our hermanos. Meanwhile, Brazilian legislation still does not allow such products to be produced or marketed here.

"420 Pleasure is a bridge between the body, mind, and pleasure," says Bárbara García, a gynecologist-obstetrician specialized in sexuality and part of the team behind the cannabis-based intimate oil made in Argentina.
In this sense, whether to relieve tension, increase pleasure, or create more intense connections, sex and cannabis go hand in hand. They are, it must be said, good companions.
Under this premise, a heterogeneous and multidisciplinary team of professionals trained at the National University of Rosario, led by Dr. Margarita Otaegui, an obstetrician and gynecologist specialized in reproductive health, developed 420 Pleasure, a CBD-based oil (a non-psychoactive component of cannabis) that stimulates the sensitive nerve endings of the clitoris, enhancing sexual pleasure.

The new oil is applied externally, topically on erogenous zones. And while it has been specially developed for application on the vulva, it can also be applied to the nipples, anus, and penis.
Thus, each box of the product contains three individual doses. For example, each dose is intended for a sexual encounter, and the effects last between 40 minutes and one hour.
But, strictly speaking, what is the effect of 420 Pleasure on the body? García explains: “The vulva and clitoris have a high concentration of endocannabinoid receptors, which we can activate through our formula. This way, the sensitive nerve endings of the clitoris are stimulated, increasing sexual pleasure, significantly enhancing sensitivity, moisture, and elasticity of the tissues, which reduces discomfort during sexual intercourse.”

And she continues: “The effects are more intense in women than in men, although both can enjoy the benefits of this oil.”
However, it is important to clarify that the application of 420 Pleasure vaginally or anally does not produce psychoactive effects. And according to the World Health Organization (WHO), CBD-based cannabis oil is not addictive.
At this point, the team behind the oil - which also includes Lautaro and Gerónimo Gieco, two lawyers specialized in the constitution and development of companies - is behind two claims. The first is research and dissemination of the benefits that the cannabis plant can bring to the body and health. The second is the advocacy for the right to free sexuality.
420 Pleasure and Regulations
For example, the cannabis used as raw material for the oil is obtained from the self-cultivation of a network of local producers, for whose production no chemicals are used.
“It is a 100% organic, vegan, and cruelty-free product, and the cannabinoid percentages are within the limits allowed by ANMAT for grade B cosmetic products,” says lawyer Lautaro Gieco.
It should be noted that in November 2021, the National Administration of Medicines, Food and Medical Technology (ANMAT) regulated the possibility of registering grade “B” cosmetic products based on cannabis derivatives.
“Currently, together with a local laboratory, we are preparing the documentation to request ANMAT approval, with all the certificates and studies required by the institution,” Gieco explains.
An Expanding Market
The sexual wellness market is gaining ground worldwide as taboos begin to fade. Societies evolve, mindsets change, and prejudices retire.
Evidence of this is a 2019 investigation by Arizton Advisory and Intelligence: this study projected a growth of about $39 billion by 2024 in the global sexual wellness market.
Although not much information has been published yet about the cannabis sexual wellness market, it is becoming increasingly popular in the United States, where cannabis is more regulated.
