The ABC Metalworkers' Union and the Therapeutic Cannabis Association Flor da Vida will inaugurate, on Thursday, July 31 at 10 a.m., the 1st Medicinal Cannabis Space Flor da Vida in São Bernardo do Campo - SP, located behind the union's headquarters.
According to the association, the new space aims to promote health and well-being through alternative therapies and cannabis-based medicinal treatments. The initiative was conceived by the ABC Metalworkers' Commission for People with Disabilities in partnership with the Flor da Vida Association during an event held in April of this year.
Community service open to the public
Aimed at public health and community service, the project marks the first medicinal cannabis unit established in the city. The space will welcome union members and residents of São Bernardo, with different conditions for unionized and non-unionized individuals.
“The initiative represents an important step to ensure access to medical treatments with cannabis in a fair and equitable manner, especially for workers and their families,” highlights Andréa Ferreira de Sousa, executive director of the Union and responsible for the Citizenship Commissions.
“The Metalworkers of ABC sought this initiative as an alternative not only for our category but for the entire community,” adds the leader.
The inauguration ceremony will be attended by union leaders, representatives of social movements, authorities from municipal and federal public powers, representatives of the PCD agenda, health professionals, and the general public.
