Aché launches oral solution of cannabidiol with 100 mg/mL in the market

Aché has released a new cannabis-based product for medicinal purposes: Cannabidiol 100 mg/mL in oral solution, authorized by Anvisa in April 2024. The medication consists of 100 mg/mL of cannabidiol (CBD) and less than 0.2% of tetrahydrocannabinol (THC), complying with regulations for products with low THC concentrations.

The product is available in the main pharmacy and drugstore chains in bottles of 10 mL or 30 mL, accompanied by droppers, and is exclusively marketed with a medical prescription, with prescription retention.

The use of cannabidiol-based products has been expanded in Brazil, especially with the increase in research on its effectiveness in treating conditions such as epilepsy, chronic pain, and anxiety. Aché's oral solution was approved by Anvisa in compliance with current regulations, integrating into the portfolio of regulated products for the Brazilian market.

3. Obtaining the prescription

After the assessment, the physician will issue a special prescription for cannabis products, following the criteria of RDC 327/2019. The prescription must be in duplicate, and one copy remains at the pharmacy at the time of product purchase.

4. Product acquisition

Cannabis-based products can be purchased at authorized pharmacies, which sell these products with a prescription. RDC 327 authorizes the sale of these products as long as they meet the safety and quality requirements established by Anvisa. The products can only be purchased with a medical prescription and retention of one copy.

5. Continuous medical monitoring

Treatment with medicinal cannabis requires continuous medical monitoring to assess the effects and adjust the dosage as needed.
