Anvisa visits cannabis crops in Colombia

The strategic relationship between countries and the exchange of knowledge are strong elements highlighted by Mónica Hoyos, from the Colombian Cannabis Industry Observatory. In this sense, a delegation from Anvisa traveled from Brazil to Colombia this weekend and, starting Monday, July 16, will begin the visit to cannabis crops for medicinal and industrial purposes in the country.

In a live interview with journalists Leandro Maia, João Negromonte, and Tylla Lima from the Sechat portal, Mónica Hoyos and Brazilian lawyer Carlos Araújo highlighted that Colombia has been developing this market since 2016 when medical cannabis was officially legalized, and that it has strong participation from the industry and doctors. They also discussed drug policy, the plant industry in general, the challenges and prospects of the sector. Additionally, they answered questions about how Colombia can influence Brazil.

On August 19, the course will be for doctors, and on September 16, for dentists, in São Paulo, at Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek, 1600, from 8 am to 6 pm.
The curriculum provides extensive knowledge for professionals interested in enhancing their knowledge of the safe prescription of cannabis-derived products for the treatment of various pathologies.
