The Cannabis Program Registry Platform (REPROCANN) has recently undergone an update that, in theory, should simplify various procedures. The changes directly impact the registration of NGOs, home growers, healthcare professionals, and cultivation technicians.
These adjustments aim to streamline the system and address longstanding bottlenecks, according to El Planteo. Below, we detail how each novelty impacts users of the Argentine system.
Documentary ease for NGOs in REPROCANN
NGOs and civil associations now have an essential tool: the ability to directly upload their registration documents. This step is mandatory for all organizations registered in the system.
The measure significantly simplifies the submission of the requirements stipulated in previous resolutions. The lack of official channels for submitting this documentation caused constant delays and generated excessive bureaucracy, issues that the REPROCANN update aims to resolve.
Cancellation of pending requests
Another change awaited by healthcare professionals, patients, and producers is the ability to cancel pending requests. This basic function was missing, hindering the flow for many users.
Specifically, producers with stalled requests — some waiting for authorization for over a year — can now cancel the request and restart the process in REPROCANN.
This is crucial for individuals who consulted unauthorized doctors before the regulatory changes. Those whose requests were in eternal review or awaiting contact with a producer can finally unlock their processes and start a new application.
Semi-annual reporting module
In addition to flow corrections, a new module for submitting semi-annual reports has been incorporated. The designated Medical Director must use the channel to detail the involved patients, prescribed dosages, therapeutic progress, and technical treatment parameters.
Likewise, the Cultivation Technical Responsible must report production procedures and movement records. It is also necessary to include the culture characteristics and chromatographic reports.
Now, these professionals will be able to submit the necessary documentation through an official channel within REPROCANN itself.
This progress has been celebrated by various members of the cannabis community, who expect greater agility and fluidity in the procedures going forward.
