In the episode aired last Friday (03) of the 9th season of Shark Tank Brazil, a reality show about entrepreneurship, Holy Natural Healers, a medicinal cannabis company, secured a R$ 2 million investment. Entrepreneur Carol Paiffer now owns 50% of the company.

Holy's CEO and founder, Emanoel Almeida, highlighted that the invested amount will be directed towards research, product development, marketing, hiring, new technologies, and education. Founded in 2020, Holy Natural Healers focuses on support and care, connecting patients, healthcare professionals, and cannabis-based medications. The company also provides a dedicated support area for patients and healthcare professionals.

Beginning of the Journey

Emanoel mentioned that his life goal became helping "millions of Marias da Silva" after his mother, Maria da Silva, showed significant improvements in her quality of life thanks to cannabis treatment. "She went through cancer, lung emphysema, heart attacks. I'm sure that if we had started cannabis treatment earlier, she wouldn't have gone through all of that," he shared.

Almeida also revealed on social media that during the episode's recording, his mother was in a coma at the hospital, but shortly after the airing, she woke up and is now at home.

Among the main challenges, Almeida pointed out prejudice fueled by misinformation and incongruent with scientific advancements. He also highlighted the benefits of cannabis therapy for patients with epilepsy, insomnia, and autism spectrum disorder, emphasizing the treatment's effectiveness.
