“Cannabis is not an alternative therapy, it is an integrative therapy,” says dentist surgeon

“It is not an alternative therapy, it is an integrative therapy. Cannabis saves lives,” stated dentist surgeon Carina Cukierman when speaking at the Brazilian Medicinal Cannabis Congress 2024 about the importance of cannabinoid medicine in the current global health scenario.

According to Carina, the Congress, held in São Paulo from May 23 to 25, brought highly qualified professionals to discuss cannabis, “an exchange of knowledge among top-notch professionals,” commented the dentist, who also emphasized the importance of the patient for the event.

Divided into various areas of cannabis, such as Business, Veterinary Medicine, Dentistry, medical specialties, and others, one aspect of CBCM 2024 that impressed Carina was the presentation of clinical cases by her fellow dentists. As shown by the speakers, cannabinoid medicine is already a possibility for dentists. 

Finally, Carina highlighted the variety of companies present at the Medical Cannabis fair, “First time I see such a well-organized fair,” she commented.
