Decriminalization of drugs in the STF is the theme of this Tuesday's live
The agenda, which is in the spotlight due to the proximity of the trial, still raises many doubts. That's why the guest to discuss the topic is the lawyer specializing in Drug Law, Emílio Figueiredo

Last week, Minister Rosa Weber, president of the Supreme Federal Court (STF), scheduled for next Wednesday (24) the trial that analyzes the suspension of an article of the Drug Law that prohibits the storage, cultivation, and transportation of certain substances for personal use.

The process, which has been stalled since 2015 when it was interrupted by a request for views, resurfaces, according to some experts, at a favorable political moment, given the impact it can have on the prison system and consequently on the war on drugs.
“However, caution is needed when approving such a change, as what seems to be a salvation can become a problem,” says the lawyer and founder of Rede Reforma, a collective of jurists willing to build a new reality based on drug policy, Emílio Figueiredo.
Many questions such as the functioning of the trial, the perception of those involved, what can change with a possible approval, how people can benefit from this new Law, and what the ideal model is, will be discussed in the live, which has the lawyer as a guest.
Therefore, don't miss this great live that will air this Tuesday (24) on the official Instagram channel @sechat_oficial.
