Dentist surgeon Cynthia de Carlo was officially awarded the United Nations International Peace Forces Medal, recognition granted to personalities who stand out for their contribution to the promotion of world peace and social, business, and human development. The award ceremony took place at Africa Friends Women 2025, organized by the Azusa Institute, at the São Paulo Cultural Center.

Graduated 31 years ago from the University of Taubaté (UNITAU), Dr. Cynthia has postgraduate degrees in Periodontics, Implants, and Pediatrics. Currently, she works as a dentist at CECMedic (Cannabinoid Excellence Center), in addition to being a member of the SBEC (Brazilian Society of Cannabis Studies) and a professor at the Sechat Academy, actively contributing to the advancement of knowledge about medical cannabis in Brazil. Besides writing as a columnist for the Sechat portal, she is also a member of the Scientific Committee of the Brazilian Medicinal Cannabis Congress 2026. 

The UN honor not only represents a personal milestone in her career but also an international recognition of the relevance of her work in favor of health, science, and the construction of a more inclusive and humanized society.
