The directors of the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) will meet this Wednesday (28) for the 1st Public Meeting of the Collegiate Board of Directors (Dicol) of 2026. This meeting marks the resumption of the agency's regulatory agenda for the year.
The meeting starts at 9:30 am and is eagerly awaited by the regulated sector and patients. The event will be broadcast live to ensure transparency of Anvisa's decisions, available on the Agency's official YouTube channel.
Among the main items on Anvisa's agenda, the Proposal for a Collegiate Board Resolution (RDC) for the review of RDC No. 327, from 2019, stands out. The current standard, which deals with Cannabis products for medicinal purposes, is undergoing technical reassessment.
In addition to the review of the current standard, Anvisa will also discuss RDCs related to cultivation regulations. The directors' decision could directly impact access and the development of the medicinal cannabis sector in Brazil.
