The founder and CEO of the Dr. Cannabis platform, Viviane Sedola, is the only Latin American representative on the list of the 50 most influential women in the cannabis industry, according to the American magazine High Times, one of the most important cannabis publications in the world.

The winners of the High Times Female 50 were chosen from over 7,500 candidates worldwide. The list of names was released this Wednesday, the 6th, and includes researchers, entrepreneurs, politicians, activists, in other words, women who have made their mark in the cannabis world.

"This tribute comes as recognition of the pioneering work we did in Brazil because when I launched Dr. Cannabis, no one openly talked about it in Brazil, including the brands that were selling in Brazil, which started before us, were very timid in terms of communication with the world and external promotion. I think we opened the cannabis closet when we crowdfunded in 2018 and started to appear in the press," highlighted the businesswoman to the Sechat.

"But mainly, I think the fact that today we have 6,000 patients impacted by the platform who understand that they have the right to access treatment. We are creating a real impact in people's lives."

The winners will be honored at an event in Los Angeles on November 13.

Dr. Cannabis is the technology and information platform that facilitates access to medical cannabis treatment. It is an online marketplace that connects patients to doctors who prescribe and companies that legally produce and resell cannabinoids.

Patients, doctors, and interested parties also find information about therapeutic cannabis and the world of medical cannabis. The company offers support to find a prescribing doctor, fill out and submit documents for Anvisa approval, up to the quotation and selection of the indicated medications. The purchase of products is made between the patient and the medication partner.
