International Congress Brings Together Experts to Discuss Medical Cannabis

The city of São Paulo will host a congress on the medical cannabis market in Brazil and around the world. The WNTC (We Need to Talk About Cannabis) will take place on November 30, from 8:30 AM to 7:30 PM, and will bring together leading experts on the subject, pharmaceutical industry representatives, private companies, and regulatory bodies such as ANVISA, to discuss the opportunities in the sector.

There will be 11 hours of exclusive content, with breaks for networking and solution exhibitions, covering topics such as: regulatory landscape in Brazil and worldwide, technology and patents in the medical cannabis market, perspectives on legalization and effects of cultivation, the role of cannabinoids in a post-COVID-19 world, and scenarios and perspectives for clinical trials involving the cannabis industry. In addition to checking the congress program, attendees will have the opportunity to visit FCE PHARMA (International Exhibition of Technology for the Pharmaceutical Industry), located in the same pavilion.

With support and sponsorship from Entourage Phytolab, W. R. Grace & Co., Indeov, Merck, and The Green Hub, the WNTC is an opportunity to help demystify medical cannabis and showcase how promising this market is for the country. “Brazil is slowly making progress, and the WNTC could accelerate this process and demonstrate how medical cannabis can help patients, generate jobs, promote business opportunities, and boost the pharmaceutical sector's economy,” explains Nadja Bento, the event organizer.

This project was developed especially by FCE Pharma, in partnership with FCE Cosmetique, as a way to support this market that continues to expand worldwide. So far, more than 10 webinars and rich content have been held to foster this industry in Brazil and prepare the audience for an even greater debate in November, which is expected to drive investments and advancements in the country.
