The Ministry of Health of Thailand revealed that an almost six-fold increase in expenses on medicinal cannabis prompted the need to recriminalize cannabis consumption, Bloomberg writes.
According to the statement by Health Minister Somsak Thepsutin on Saturday, total medical expenses for illnesses treated with medicinal marijuana increased between 15 billion THB ($407 million) and 21 billion THB after the government decriminalized its use two years ago.
