<strong>World premiere of the documentary "Frenchy Dreams of Hashish"</strong>

On April 29th, several countries will be simultaneously watching the story of cannabis regulation in California according to Frenchy Cannoli. And OverGrow will be hosting this launch in Brazil.

Internationally known for his adventures through traditionally cannabis-producing countries and his techniques for manipulating and aging the plant's resin, Cannoli passed away in July 2021, after a life dedicated to one of his passions: hashish.

One of the projects Frenchy was finalizing is the documentary "Frenchy Dreams Of Hashish", which was completed by the film director and is being released by Madame Cannoli, Frenchy's widow, in various places around the world. The documentary, filmed over a period of two years, covers the transition from California's Prop 215 (Medical Marijuana Initiative) to Prop 64 (Adult Use Law).

In a journey around the world, director Jake Remington found himself following the renowned hash-maker Frenchy Cannoli who, from Barcelona to the remote cannabis farms of the Emerald Triangle in Northern California, filmed this unexpected journey full of twists. 

During the filming of "Frenchy Dreams of Hashish", California was experiencing the changes that came with the legalization of adult cannabis use, and thus the beginning of the small farmers' struggle for quality of life and survival.

The world premiere comes with the proposal to raise awareness and strengthen the farmers' fight and change the situation in the American state.

"We will have an in-person screening to watch the film and celebrate with the audience," highlighted Madame Cannoli, who will connect live with guests for exchanging ideas and messages from the family to everyone present at the tribute.

Part of the ticket sales proceeds will be donated to the non-profit organization Origins Council (@originscouncil) to support their study on cannabis terroir that they are conducting with the Lost Coast Farmers Guild.
