Caio França is from the city of Santos, on the coast of São Paulo, and, like his father, the lawyer and former state governor Márcio França, Caio entered public life very early, at just 20 years old.
In 2008, he was elected the most voted councilor in the history of São Vicente, on the coast of São Paulo, with 8,097 votes, standing out with projects such as the inclusion of chess in public schools, the creation of the “Green Seal” against dengue, and the implementation of “Ecocycle” (bicycles that collect recyclable waste), among other actions.
In 2014, he was elected state deputy, establishing himself as the youngest parliamentarian in the São Paulo Legislative Assembly and the most voted from his party. After being re-elected in 2018, he became president of the Environment and Sustainable Development Committee, having been elected unanimously in the house.
Re-elected again in 2022, the deputy, along with other parliamentary colleagues, approved PL 1180/19 in the São Paulo Legislative Assembly (ALESP) at the end of last year, which is awaiting sanction or veto from the state Governor Tarcísio de Freitas.
