MediPharm Labs Signs Strategic Agreement with Laboratório Teuto to Expand the Medical Cannabis Market in Brazil
Partnership includes two products authorized by Anvisa

MediPharm Labs Corp, a global manufacturer of pharmaceutical-grade cannabis, announced in a statement on Wednesday (8) a commercial agreement with Laboratório Teuto, one of the leading pharmaceutical manufacturers and traders in Brazil.
"Globally, we believe that the higher the regulatory level, the more complex and specific the quality standards in a country, the better for MediPharm. Brazil is a perfect example of a large complex market, and we are very fortunate to have a long-term partnership with Teuto," said David Pidduck, CEO of MediPharm Labs.
The partnership aims to strengthen the supply of medical cannabis in Brazil, focusing on palliative care and CNS (central nervous system) and oncology treatments. "Medical cannabis is an important product for our Specialty Care line, enhancing our relationship with physicians, completing our portfolio. Our partnership with MediPharm will allow TEUTO to grow faster in this market, bringing more full-spectrum products of the highest quality to Brazilian patients in need," stated Marcelo Henriques, CEO of Teuto.
Teuto has received authorization from the National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) for two products manufactured by MediPharm. The approvals, published on December 30, 2024, are the result of a process that highlights MediPharm's commitment to compliance, quality, and innovation, as the company explains in an official statement:
"MediPharm and Teuto have been working together on ANVISA approvals, which included pharmaceutical-level product registrations, extensive quality control documentation, and responses to various information requests over many months. Initial shipments are expected to begin in the new year after receiving the applicable import and export licenses from ANVISA and Health Canada.
Recently, MediPharm closed a $5.5 million agreement for facility sales to Kensana Health. At the time, David Pidduck also highlighted the companies' commitment to operational efficiency and strengthening partnerships that expand global reach.
