More than 11,000 people attended the first edition of the Medical Fair Brazil and the Medical Cannabis Fair
The success of the events was so great that a new date for 2023 has been scheduled: from April 4 to 6, at Expo Center Norte.

Last week, Expo Center Norte in São Paulo hosted two major events that took place simultaneously: the Medical Fair Brazil and the Medical Cannabis Fair. The first is dedicated to the medical hospital sector, while the second focuses on the medicinal cannabis market. The good news is that, between the two events, more than 11,000 people circulated through the pavilion in search of innovations in the health field. There were nearly 250 national and international exhibitors - 208 from the Medical Fair Brazil and 34 from the Medical Cannabis Fair - showcasing new products, services, innovations, and trends.

Among the exhibitors at the Medical Fair Brazil were suppliers of ambulances and rescue services, electromedicine and product technology, supplies and disposables, hospital furniture, as well as diagnostic, medical-hospital, and clinical laboratory equipment, among many others. In the area dedicated to cannabis - the Medical Cannabis Fair - there were companies producing and importing plant-based products, from medicinal oils to dermocosmetics, as well as businesses specializing in financial transactions and institutions focused on cannabis education.
“The Medical Cannabis Fair was an extremely important event for us to realize how much this market has evolved in the last two years in Brazil and how society is open to understanding more about the medicinal use of cannabis. The exhibitors were able to showcase their products and services to people in the health market and make many business connections and networking. We at Sechat are very pleased with the positive feedback we received from our exhibitors, speakers, and attendees, and we are honored to showcase the potential of this market at a prestigious fair like the Medical Fair Brazil (Medica - Dusseldorf), an event that brought together people who already understand the medicinal use of cannabis and many others who had no idea how this market works. We fulfilled the objective of this fair: to break the bubble of prejudice, present the medicinal cannabis market in Brazil, and provide quality information to everyone, dispelling misinformation and prejudice that still exists on this topic,” says Camila Evangelisti, responsible for the commercial area of Sechat, the portal that organizes the Medical Cannabis Fair and the Brazilian Congress on Medicinal Cannabis.

The Brazilian Congress on Medicinal Cannabis
At Expo Center Norte, there were also auditoriums dedicated to lectures with specialized content, such as the Brazilian Congress on Medicinal Cannabis, which featured more than 70 speakers from Brazil and around the world and nearly 400 attendees who exchanged information over almost 30 hours of classes and debates. The entire curation of the congress was done by Dr. Pedro Pierro, a neurosurgeon, pioneer in cannabis prescription in Brazil, and scientific director of the Sechat portal. For him,
“The event was a watershed moment because, for the first time in the country, it managed to reach two completely different audiences in the same space due to the opportunity that the Medical Fair Brazil provided us. The first group consists of people, doctors, and all those who were not familiar with the cannabis ecosystem but were interested in learning more. For those who are already in this sector, it was an opportunity to delve deeper into the topic, especially at the congress, which took place simultaneously with the event, where we had more than 70 speakers discussing the medical advancements of medicinal cannabis use, as well as progress in legislative and judicial areas, agribusiness, and access routes to products. So, this was the uniqueness of the event, which brought us great success. Here’s to 2023.”
