"This is our first time in Brazil. I insisted that we be present at the Medical Cannabis Fair, an event dedicated to medicinal cannabis that addresses the topic seriously. It is the ideal space to open the market here in Brazil," comments Nathalie Vanegas, business developer at Healthcare International Research Limited, owner of the Hempe brand.
For this experience, the UK company has focused on four products aimed at relieving muscle, ligament, and joint pain. "The gel acts locally, reaching the deeper cellular layers. It delivers the active ingredient from cannabis to the affected area, alleviating pain and assisting in the repair of the injury," explains Vanegas.
According to the foreign trade specialist, the compound that already shows good results in India, the United States, and Europe is now arriving in Brazil. "High-performance athletes, patients with fibromyalgia, chronic pain, acute pain, and people with phantom pain can all use it," she comments.
Finally, Vanegas emphasizes the growth of the MCF: "I followed the first and second editions from afar, but only being here can you understand the audience and the regulatory barriers." According to her, the fair is important because it brings together all types of audiences, such as investors, doctors, physiotherapists, athletes, and patients. "For those looking to close deals, this is the ideal place."
