Paraguay Inaugurates First Cannabis Dispensary in South America
In full expansion in the country, the cannabis sector will now have an exclusive store for the sale of products based on cannabidiol

The Latin American Industrial Hemp Association (LAIHA) inaugurated yesterday, September 21, the country's and South America's first dispensary. The dispensary is located in Ciudad del Este, a district in Paraguay, situated in the far east of the country, on the banks of the Paraná River. The venture is named Life Green and offers a wide variety of products based on hemp, cannabis sativa with up to 0.3% THC in its formula. The products range from food, cosmetics, medicinal lines, and other items.
Marcelo Demp, vice president of the association, stated that the establishment will have unique and exclusively natural products, without any chemical components extracted from nature. In addition, they will offer a wide range of experiences with the aim of breaking the stigma surrounding this herb.
"It is the first establishment in South America and already has Dinavisa establishment registration. This will bring Brazilian tourism that will come to buy electronics and then will be able to go to the dispensary; those who know its benefits will want to go to Ciudad del Este to take advantage of the benefits," explained Demp.
The Dispensary will showcase the various health benefits that cannabinoids provide without generating dependence, contributing to personal well-being and, above all, to environmental care. For this, they will carry out educational communication about each of their products.
