Paraná creates the second association to promote the medicinal use of cannabis
The association will have 3 fronts: welcoming and directing patients, interventions in society to end prejudice, and legal support

The association Cura em Flor was created in Apucarana, Paraná, aiming to facilitate access to medicinal cannabis in the region and advocating for the therapeutic use of the plant to improve the health and well-being of those in need. This entity is the second in the state to address this topic, with the first association based in the municipality of Maringá.

The nurse and one of the founders of the association, Jackeline Aristides, mentioned that the desire to create an association for medicinal cannabis has existed for years, which was intensified after seeing reports of people in her family who used the plant to treat certain illnesses and conditions.
Since then, she has been guiding some individuals regarding support and mobilization to break prejudices, as well as providing guidance on legal matters, such as obtaining Habeas Corpus.

This desire grew even more after attending a course by Father Ticão from Unifesp in November 2020. As a final project, she and a friend drafted the association's bylaws. Since then, Jackeline has been organizing the establishment of the association, which was formally consolidated today.
The association now has professionals from various fields, such as nurses, psychologists, growers, and lawyers.
