About Cannabis Empregos
Cannabis Empregos is the first job platform in Brazil dedicated to the cannabis sector and affiliated markets. Professionals, companies, and associations can use the platform for free and promote the Brazilian cannabis job market.
Founded in January 2021 and officially launched in April 2021, the platform aims to connect professionals and companies in the cannabis field in a dedicated environment for the sector.
Currently, the platform is led by founder Danilo Lang, a 36-year-old from São Paulo, who holds a degree in marketing and has specializations in Business Management and Leadership.

Lang has studied the sector for 8 years, where he saw the opportunity to combine what he loves, namely the cannabis field, with an unusual market demand.
The creation of the business arose when its creator realized the market's lack in this aspect. After conducting some research, he noticed that job sites for this market exist only outside the country, mostly in the United States. The interest in this niche emerged when Danilo analyzed a Leafly report from January 2021, where data showed movement of approximately 321,000 jobs in the cannabis sector.
This information sparked the speculative concept making Danilo think:
This will happen in Brazil; it is already underway! Where can professionals in the sector find jobs?
Thus, Cannabis Empregos was born.

Some Numbers from Cannabis Empregos
After 2 months of operation, the platform already has 5 registered companies and 10 job openings in various roles and work models such as internships, freelance, and full-time, for example. The site features companies from different sectors, including Kaya Mind (data intelligence and research), OnixCann (Health and Medical), INDEOV (Health and Medical), Favo (Technology and Cultivation), and King Bong Head Shop (Head Shop and Tobacco Store).
With over 175 registered professionals, Cannabis Empregos is starting to gain the public's trust. However, there are still professionals who feel uncomfortable exposing their brands on “traditional” social networks like LinkedIn, Facebook, or Instagram, which makes it difficult to access some pending job openings in the market.
Cannabis Empregos aims to assist this group, and according to its creator, the portal helps these individuals position themselves in an environment focused on hiring within the cannabis market.
We want to make it clear that professionals do not need to leave their current market to transition to the cannabis sector; this transition can be made more smoothly and practically.
How does it work?
The platform creates a bridge between interested individuals and companies in the field. All professionals register for free, being directed to a profile page (accessible only to registered companies) where they can send their resumes for as many job openings as they wish.
Each professional has an access panel to manage their applications, track the process, and receive alerts and notifications. Additionally, they can follow the company and keep up with its new job postings firsthand.
Only companies can view the resumes and information of candidates, and by registering on the site, they secure a free plan with five job openings that remain active until filled. If necessary, Cannabis Empregos is willing to provide the job openings; the goal at this moment is to stimulate the market and connect people and companies.
