Medicine still teaches to treat diseases, but prepares professionals little to prevent them. This is one of the central points debated in a segment of the Deusa Cast episode, a podcast from Portal Sechat, featuring sports physician Dr. Jimmy Fardim and dentist surgeon Dr. Rafaela da Rosa.

In the segment, the experts question the training model focused on prescribing medications and advocate for a clinical practice more attentive to nutrition, lifestyle, and the body's regulatory systems.

According to Dr. Jimmy, the lack of attention given to the endocannabinoid system exemplifies this gap. "It is the body's maestro, controlling all reactions. When this system becomes unbalanced, other functions also become disorganized," he stated.

The episode also addressed the frequent use of benzodiazepines in the treatment of sleep disorders. Dr. Rafaela reports that these medications can cause lasting alterations in sleep architecture. "After taking a benzodiazepine to sleep, my sleep architecture was permanently modified," she said.

As an alternative, she highlights the potential of cannabinoids like CBN, which, according to the professional, respect the natural sleep cycles. "CBN allows the body to go through all necessary sleep phases for function recovery," she explained.

The segment is part of the full episode of Deusa Cast and anticipates a broader debate on the need to reformulate health education, prioritizing prevention, physiological balance, and integrative approaches.
