Registration to sell Cannabis products can now be requested online
Due to social isolation, requests can now be made online

The National Health Surveillance Agency (Anvisa) has opened up to companies interested in selling products derived from Cannabis the option to submit registration requests entirely through digital means.
This way, the in-person submission of the request is no longer required, Anvisa reported. According to the agency, this measure reinforces the commitment to “protect the health of companies and institution employees in the face of the coronavirus pandemic”.
Approved last December, Anvisa's resolution regulates the manufacturing, importation, and commercialization of products derived from Cannabis for medicinal purposes. The full text is available on the agency's website.
Cannabis is a component found in marijuana plants. Products based on the substance can only be sold in pharmacies without manipulation. For purchase, the patient must have an exclusive prescription provided by a doctor. The products must have a maximum of 0.2% THC content, one of the active principles of marijuana.
