The Rio Grande do Sul Cannabis Association creates a miniseries to showcase the processes of cannabis cultivation. The Herb's Journey. This is the title of the miniseries produced by the Medicinal Cannabis Association (ACURACAN), which shows the processes, from cultivation to consumption, of medicinal cannabis.
.
The videos are divided into chapters and will be posted on the entity's Instagram, the first part contains two episodes and is already live. In it, the association's Co-Founder, Patrícia da Rosa, presents all the stages of the harvest.
.
The material featured in the miniseries was recorded at the ACURACAN plantation in Uruguay - where cannabis is legalized. According to Patrícia, the association is still in the process of obtaining authorization for cannabis cultivation and handling in Brazil.

Chapter 1
.
In the first episode, Patrícia shows the plant's “pruning.” Passing through the last flowering week, where water and other resources are cut so that the flower obtains better consumption of free nutrients and reaching the time to harvest and cut the branches.
.
In the second episode, the manual and mechanized processes of “trimming” are presented to the public. The three stages performed by the machines enable a better use of cannabis, ensuring a medication full of trichomes, terpenes, and flavonoids.
.
The next chapter of the miniseries is in production, with no release date. The ACURACAN Co-Founder commented that the third episode will show the extraction and manufacturing of the extract and the final result of the medication.
.
Simply a Plant
.
According to Patrícia, there are several children, grandchildren, and nephews who engage with the association hidden from their families. The fear existing in society makes life difficult for people who need cannabis for medical treatments.
.
In addition, there is a vast misinformation about how cannabis works and its planting processes. “The plant is still a mystery, something distant and imaginary,” says Patrícia.
.
With this in mind, the ACURARAN team created the miniseries, The Herb's Journey. Aiming to teach and explain to people what cannabis is: “We must show what cannabis really is, a plant, even if it's not just any plant. Only education and science can demystify the subject.”
.
Pleasure, ACURACAN
.
ACURACAN is an association of medicinal cannabis based in Porto Alegre (RS). It was founded in November 2022 by “militants for universal and decriminalized access to cannabis,” words used by the Co-Founder.
.
According to Patrícia, the ACURACAN team, composed of doctors, veterinarians, nutritionists, psychologists, therapists, biologists, work diligently to serve 1600 members: “The heart of what we do lies precisely in welcoming, in the work of cannabis specialists. The patient is listened to with care and respect.”
