The British information and education platform for medical cannabis, Cannabis Health, announced the Cannabis Health Symposium 2026 series of events, which will take place in two European cities in November. The meetings are set for November 4 in Frankfurt, Germany, and November 26 in London, United Kingdom.

Targeted at health professionals, prescribers, researchers, and industry representatives, the symposium aims to promote discussions on scientific evidence, regulation, and clinical practices related to the medicinal use of cannabis.

According to the organizers, the goal is to bridge the advancements in scientific research with the realities faced by professionals involved in prescribing cannabis-based medications. Although part of the same series, the events will have distinct programs tailored to the regulatory contexts and needs of each country.

German Market and Access Challenges

The Frankfurt edition will focus on the German landscape of medical cannabis, addressing topics such as regulation, access to treatment, and patient rights. The program will also include discussions on the challenges of reimbursement by the German public health system, the growing role of pharmacists in light of the increase in prescriptions, and issues related to traffic legislation, workplace environment, and job protection for patients undergoing treatment.

In the clinical field, the event will discuss the use of cannabinoids in managing chronic pain, including the first marketing authorization in Europe for a cannabinoid-based medication for chronic lower back pain, as well as sessions dedicated to safe prescribing in various health conditions.

Regulatory Landscape and New Clinical Applications in the United Kingdom

The London symposium will be dedicated to the British landscape of medical cannabis. Among the anticipated topics are regulatory updates, compliance with oversight bodies, pathways for prescribing through the British public health system (NHS), and patient rights.

The scientific program will also cover therapeutic applications in areas such as psychiatry, palliative care, women's health, and neurodivergent conditions, including attention deficit hyperactivity disorder (ADHD) and autism. The event is also expected to discuss the advancement of clinical trials and research in medical cannabis in the United Kingdom.

The organization stated that the complete program and speaker names will be announced in the coming weeks. Registration for the events is already open, as well as sponsorship opportunities for companies interested in participating in the initiative.
