Teresópolis hosts an important debate on Medicinal Cannabis. On Friday, October 10, 2025, the city will host the "Sensitization Forum on Medicinal Cannabis for Public Health Professionals", an event aimed at healthcare professionals and students.

The initiative is promoted by the Luso-Brazilian Association of Cannabis Nursing (ALBECAN), with institutional support from local partners and the coordination of Councilwoman Professor Amanda. The meeting will discuss the strategic role of professionals in the implementation of these new therapeutic practices.

According to ALBECAN, the forum aims to broaden the discussion on the benefits and challenges of Medicinal Cannabis in public health. Furthermore, it seeks to promote professional updating and the exchange of experiences among different areas of knowledge.

The event will feature lectures and activities covering everything from the endocannabinoid system to the legal frameworks of Medicinal Cannabis in Brazil.
