It's "all in the family" for Olivia Newton-John, her daughter Chloe Lattanzi, and her husband John Easterling when it comes to cannabis as medicine, something that, according to the four-time Grammy winner, helps alleviate her cancer symptoms.
Calling Easterling a "plant healer" who has taught her a lot about cannabis and herbs, Newton-John recently told Hollywood Reporter that "he has been growing for me for several years and I have benefited greatly."

Additionally, she shared how, a few years ago, she was able to get off morphine with the help of cannabis after breaking her sacrum. "I want people to know the healing values of plant medicine," she said, adding that she is currently feeling well.
"We have a family cannabis business together," noted Lattanzi, who focuses on doing everything organically. "The most important thing for me in life is to be someone who facilitates healing and talks about herbal medicine. That's why I want to show a wide range of perspectives," she said, recalling that they even sing to the plants. "We play music for them. They experience the world differently than we do, but with the same intensity," Lattanzi said.

The Olivia Newton-John Foundation and the Desire to Make Everyone Aware of the Benefits of Cannabis
Primarily, Newton-John hopes to send a message through the Olivia Newton-John Foundation Fund. Above all, the fund channels money into herbal medicine research "so we can show people the scientific evidence," she told Hollywood Reporter.
"There's a lot out there, but I want to be able to bring it to people and show, 'look, this really benefits, especially for cancer.' That's the focus for my husband and me right now," she said in the interview.

And just how does Newton-John consume cannabis? Tinctures are her preferred method. "John makes tincture and keeps my pain under control and helps with mood, sleep, and inflammation. It has been amazing for me," she said.
Lattanzi, for her part, usually opts for gummy edibles. "I think it's more body-based than mind-based," she said, adding that it helps with pain and anxiety.
When asked where the two were currently, "we're in California where adult-use cannabis is legal. Chloe is visiting, which is wonderful, and it's a glorious day. Happy to be alive," Newton-John replied.

Regarding what she learned during the Covid-19 pandemic, she added: “I am loving having peace, being in one place, planting something, and being able to eat it. And being able to watch the changes of the seasons and have quiet time.”
