Access to cannabidiol treatments in Uberaba (MG) was authorized by the City Council on Wednesday (24), the same day the state law was approved in the first session of the Legislative Assembly. The bill, authored by councilman Tulio Micheli, was approved unanimously.

The proposal was built in dialogue with the municipal government, marking a historic step in supporting families living with pains and crises that previously found no answers in the public healthcare system.

The vote was marked by recognition from the plenary. Several council members congratulated the project's author and the Municipal Executive for the openness to dialogue that made the approval possible.

Tulio Micheli emphasized the importance of the approval and highlighted the human nature of politics. "This is not a victory of the government or the opposition. It is a victory of life. It is proof that when we put our differences aside and come together for the people, politics fulfills its true role. Cannabidiol is not just a substance. It is hope."

The councilman also thanked Mayor Elisa Araújo and the secretaries involved in the project's development. The joint effort was recognized as essential for the proposal to become a reality.
