The Bahian João Carlos Bacelar Batista (Pode-BA), or simply Bacelar, is in his second term as a federal deputy for Bahia, having been reelected with almost 150,000 votes. Recently, he introduced the Bill 369/2021, which deals with the use of Cannabis sativa and its derivatives in veterinary medicine. The proposal is endorsed by none other than the Federal Council of Veterinary Medicine (CFMV), which, according to the parliamentarian, provided consultancy for the development of the initiative.
