The event, taking place on Thursday, November 6th, from 2:30 pm to 7:00 pm, in São Paulo, at the Amphitheater of the JK 1600 building (Avenida Juscelino Kubitschek, 1600, Itaim Bibi), promises to be a milestone in the discussion about the future of the sector in the country.
With the theme "The New Scenario of Cannabis and Hemp in Brazil: Advances, Challenges, and Opportunities", Cannabis Connection 2025 will bring together experts, researchers, market leaders, and investors.
The event will also mark the launch of the 5th Sechat Cannabis Guide 2025. The comprehensive e-Book presents the history, trends, and challenges of the sector. The guide offers a complete overview for professionals and those interested in the medicinal cannabis market and will be available for free download at Sechat.com.br on the day of the event.
Panel discussions aligned with the sector
Cannabis Connection 2025 offers a panel focused on the medicinal field and another on agriculture. The discussions address the decisive moment of the cannabis sector in Brazil, with the imminent regulation of cultivation for medicinal purposes.
The topic awaits a decision from the Superior Court of Justice (STJ), after the federal government requested an additional 180 days to present a proposal. Meanwhile, DNA Soluções, an entity involved in the project, suggests a "regulatory sandbox".
Leonardo Navarro, lawyer, event speaker, and Effective Member of the Cannabis Law Commission of the Federal Council of the Brazilian Bar Association, emphasizes that this is indeed a crucial period for the sector.
"2025 is a standout year for the sector. Anvisa is fulfilling its role regarding the review of RDC 327 and also to regulate hemp cultivation for medicinal purposes to comply with the STJ decision," contextualizes Navarro.
The expert believes that the sector expects effective and secure regulation, capable of enabling the entry of new businesses in the country. For Navarro, this is where the event becomes a fundamental tool, connecting stakeholders at the right time.
"Events like Cannabis Connection are essential because they allow the public sector to engage directly with society. You can hear the voices of entrepreneurs and especially the voices of the technicians involved in all regulation," concludes Navarro.
